•    What’s the difference between IDP and the British Council?

Both are agencies that deliver the IELTS test. There is no significant difference between the IDP and the British Council in terms of the content of the exam. The only difference that they have is the cost the candidate has to pay upon registration. 




•    Where can I take the IELTS?

The IELTS test is administered in different cities here in the Philippines. These centres are in Bacolod, Baguio, Batangas, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Leyte, Naga and Pampanga. Candidates do not need to worry if the test differs from any city; the test is just the same.

•    How much does it cost to register for the IELTS?

If a candidate is registering for the British Council, the candidate needs to pay PHP 8986 and PHP8900 if the candidate registers for the IDP. The payment can be done by cash, cheque, bank deposit or even with the use of credit card.

•    Which test type should I take – the Academic or General Training?

The Academic is taken by individuals who need to further their studies – undergraduate or post-graduate – and for those who seek for professional registration. Individuals who are to undergo training or migration needs the General Training test.

    Is it possible to cancel the test after registration?

Unfortunately, a candidate is not allowed to cancel unless it is a medical situation provided with a medical certificate. Additionally, candidates need to pay PHP 1000 as a transfer fee for the new test schedule.
