Are you enrolled in a review center for IELTS in the Philippines? If so, then I have some good news for you. The United Kingdom government abolished IELTS UKVI for doctors, nurses, midwives, and dentists who finished their IELTS academic with the professional score.

IELTS Academic is one of the two branches of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). It is for people who are applying for higher education or professional registration in English-speaking countries. Whereas, IELTS UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) is a test approved by the UK government, also known as Secure English Language Test (SELT).

The good news coming from the British Council has shaken the world of IELTS. In a bulletin released earlier this year, the UK Immigration department has abolished the need for foreign medical practitioners to pass the IELTS UKVI after passing the IELTS academic exam.

With this improvement, many people will have lesser problem when trying to work in Great Britain. You may now focus solely on finishing and passing your IELTS academic or your OET exam.

Living in the Present: Rules Governing the Present Tense

No tense in the English language is used more than the simple present. When something is happening right now, at this precise moment, or if something is happening regularly, the PRESENT TENSE is your go-to tense. During your IELTS training, you will likely be using the simple present tense most of the time. Depending on the person, the simple present tense of the verb is formed by using the root form or by adding -s or -es to the base form of the verb

Camille hates going to the dentist.
Danish goes to church every Sunday.

The second is an example of a habitual action or occurrence expressed using the present tense. If however, we want to express a temporary action that is currently happening, we use the present continuous form:

Danish can’t answer your call right now because she is preparing for church.
